Rebel with a Cause

Some cracking racing Today both on the flat with the Ces and over jumps with two excellent Listed races at Market Rasen.

This is what we will concentrate on, namely the 14.40 Listed Chase.

We have Rebel Du Maquis clear top rated with a Proform Odds Line price of 9/2.

The 9th place finish last time out when last seen at the Galway Festival will deceive most punters since he had to race off a very high OR of 153 and although 9th still ran creditably enough with a Proform Speed Figure very similar to the easy win at Stratford the race before.

The previous two races saw easy wins off 134 and 142 with the 3lb claimer Ryan Mahon riding.

Today Rebel Du Maquis is running off a decent mark of 146 and with Harry Dernham claiming 7lb he looks well in to bounce back and take this valuable Listed Handicap.

Added to this his the form of the Nicholls stable over the summer.
In the last two months Nicholls has sent out 12 runners and 5 winners for a 42% strike rate and in the last month 4 from 5 winners for a 80% strike rate, this 30k event is sure to have been the target for Rebel Du Maquis.

Rebel Du Maquis Currently priced at nearly double our predicted odds (9/2) at 8/1 with quite a few firms, which represents excellent value.

Good Luck

Heavy/Soft Ground Form for all three Ayr Cups

Yesterday the official going at Ayr was described as Heavy, while using our own standard times we make it Soft.

Whichever the case (ours is correct) you need a horse today which can handle the underfoot conditions.

With this in mind the following lists are the horses record on Heavy or Soft ground (Proform actual going, not official going) for each of the 3 cup races i.e. Green Park has run 17 times on Heavy or Soft ground and has won or placed on 10 of those occasions for a win and place strike rate of 58.85%

Proform Statistic's

Trainer George Baker's record in September on the turf over the last 5 years is :-

Strike Rate: 23.64%
Winners:     13
Runners:     55
LSP:           +£53.94

The Expected Winners is 5.88, which equates to a A/E of 2.21, so George Baker has had more than twice as many winners than expected in September on the turf.

If we also compare this strike rate of 23.64% to his overall turf record strike rate in the last 5 years, which is 12.96%, we can September runners offer a much better chance of winning.

Today George Baker runs WASPY at Bath in the 17:40, which is also Top Rated on our Odds Line with a value price of 5/2+

WASPY is currently 7/2 in a couple of places and plenty of 100/30 and 3/1 on offer.
